PADI Open water diver
THE course to start diving.
Overview
The PADI Open Water Diver is the most popular diving course in the world and is the first level in the PADI system that concludes with an unrestricted "brevet" (diving certificate). The certification is recognised worldwide and allows you to dive to depths of up to 18 metres.
The diving licence allows you to explore the wonderful underwater world and teaches you how to become a responsible diver.
It is very important to us that the content is learnt by our participants in the long term. For this reason, our course groups are small and we only work with experienced diving instructors.
In the Red Sea you can expect an incredible variety of species, with a pleasant water temperature all year round.
WAS UNSERE KUNDEN SAGEN
QUALITÄT, NICHT QUANTITÄT
We have made quality of our habit. It’s not something that we just strive for – we live by this principle every day.

Learner content
The PADI Open Water Diver course teaches you all the theoretical and practical basics for diving. The course lasts 4 days and consists of 8 dives. These are divided as follows:
Day 1: There is a theoretical introduction in which the equipment and other basics are explained to you. On this day there will be 2 dives at shallow depths (~5 metres) with the first practical exercises.
Day 2: The next 2 dives take place to learn practical exercises.
Day 3: From today the dives become deeper, we practise the knowledge already acquired and the theoretical exam takes place.
Once you have passed the exam, you are now authorised to dive to depths of up to 18 metres.
Course requirements
Minimum age of 10 years
good swimming skills
good physical condition
a medical certificate

Procedure
Before we set off, we will arrange an exact pick-up time with you a few days in advance. This is usually around 8 a.m. (depending on the location of the hotel).
You will be picked up at the hotel and then taken to the harbour where our boat is moored.
The boat leaves around 9 am and takes us to our first dive site. The journey usually takes about 1 hour. During this time, we will explain the equipment to you and give you a briefing. Here you will learn all the important things you need to know during the dive and on the boat.
After the first dive there is a lunch break and you will be served fresh lunch and soft drinks. You can rest and relax on the sun deck until the second dive.
Then it's off to the second dive site for the second dive.
Afterwards we have seasonal fruit and make our way back to Hurghada. We dock back in the harbour at around 4 pm and take you back to your hotel.
Our team will of course be on hand all day to provide you with advice and assistance.
